Management Learning Delivery Methods

Blended Learning Approach

Integrating an appropriate mix of learning options, sometimes known as 'Blended Learning', can be a most effective way for your organisation to develop staff. It can help individuals to identify specific issues that effect the way they do their job and to find ways to tackle these issues, so that they are able to do their jobs better and with greater confidence.

Blended learning combines training, coaching and online learning to help our customers get the best from their training investment and also offer some excellent ways to measure training results. We strongly believe that this is the way forward for training and development.

Here is a blended learning / integrated example:

  1. Assessment
Assess where the delegates are now, using one of these tools: Informal face to face interviews, questionnaire, 180/360 degree assessment, assessment and development centres, work observation.
  2. Pre-course learning
Online or paper based reading, exercises and case study.
  3. Short training intervention
Concentrate on one/two key issues. Up to half a day of training including tutor led input, discussion and case study or skills practice.
  4. On site coaching
Approximately four weeks later - on site/job observation and/or coaching on a one to one or two basis, working with the delegates on implementing behavioural and habit changes.
  5. Final assessment
Assess improvement in delegates and further areas to work on.
