We now offer Coaching Supervision services

Management Learning & Coaching Ltd are pleased to announce that they now offer Coaching Supervision. Sue Blow, who heads up their Coaching team, was one of the first people in Europe to qualify with a post-graduate University course (with Oxford Brookes) in Supervisory Practice for experienced coaches in summer 2008. Sue was also one of only three students who gained a distinction.

What is coaching supervision?

Coaching and mentoring are both wonderful for developing people. As a result, the number of people offering their services as coach / mentors has gone through the roof. Yet how do you know the people you employ are any good? Are they just having lovely discussions with no outcomes? Are they sufficiently challenging? Too challenging? Even worse, are they abusing the special nature of the relationship by interfering inappropriately with issues they are not trained to deal with?

Coaching supervision provides your internal (or external) coaches with a support mechanism that enables them to develop and review their coaching skills. Some benefits include:

• Helping coaches develop advanced skills and confidence within a confidential framework
• Providing assurance of coaching quality: that coaches are competent, professional, ethical
• Ensuring that those receiving coaching have the best possible people working with them
• Helping developing coaches deal with tricky situations or ethical dilemmas
• Providing neutral external support for an internal coaching team
